Privacy and Security

Privacy

Neola.ie is totally committed to protecting the privacy of our site visitors and customers. The Neola.ie team members are customers themselves of other Internet sites and fully appreciate and respect the importance of privacy on the Internet. We will not disclose information about our customers to third parties except where it is part of providing a service to you - e.g. arranging for a product to be sent to you, carrying out credit and other security checks and for the purposes of customer research and profiling or where we have your express permission to do so.

Security

Here at Neola.ie we take our customers security very seriously. We have taken every possible measure to ensure that your personal details and payment details are protected. We have implemented the new 3d secure system that means not only do you need your card details, pin and security code; in addition you need to have registered your credit card and created a password for the card and it can then be used when shopping online. You will be asked for this password at the payment page and if you do not have it you will need to contact your bank as payment will not be accepted without it. Please note this measure only applies to credit cards and not laser cards as it has not yet been implemented by the banks. The new 3d secure system may be a bit more hassle but it is in place for your financial security and to prevent any fraudulent orders being made with your card details. To find out more about 3d secure please contact your bank as they will have all the necessary information to assist you.

3D Secure

3D Secure is like "Chip and Pin for websites". It is a password request displayed after you put in your credit card details.
3D Secure is supported by ALL Visa and MasterCard cards, including Visa Debit and Debit MasterCard, but not Laser cards.
You can set up you 3D Secure password during the checkout process, you just need a few details about your card/account.
If you have set up your 3D Secure password then a fraudster cannot use your card on a 3D Secure enabled site.
3D Secure is spreading fast and will soon be on almost every Irish and UK website.
There are no charges for using 3D Secure.
You can skip 3D Secure registration 3 times, after that you will have to register and create your password to use 3D Secure sites.
3D Secure is mandatory for some card types, like UK Maestro cards (the UK equivalent of Laser).
If a website doesn't support 3D Secure then UK Maestro cardholders can't use it

For further information on 3D secure please contact your bank
